VANH VONGKHAMCHANH, age 65 of Worthington, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, December 1st, 2020 at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born in Laos to the late Maa and Soot Vongkhamchanh on July 31st, 1955.

Vanh joined the army when he was 18 and traveled all-around South-East Asia. He later met Dy Vongkhamchanh, and they married in Laos in 1978. They both moved to Jackson, Minnesota, in 1988.

He worked at JBS for over 18 years until he retired in 2008.

Despite his hectic schedule, he was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, socializing with his friends/family, and most importantly, spending his precious time with his grandkids.

Vanh is survived by his older sister and four children Phay Vongkhamchanh, De Pere Wisconsin; phon (Phoung) Vongkhamchanh, Sioux Falls, SD; Phout ( Mudu) Vongkhamchanh, Marshall, Minnesota; Kevin ( Ariene) Worthington, MN and seven grandchildren, Mild, Amaya, Nathan, Noah, Baily, Dash, and Lewis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, and two sisters.

A visitation will be Friday from 5-7 pm at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Funeral will be 1 pm Saturday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery at a later date.
