VERA HULBERT, age 87, of Luverne, died Sunday, July 6, 2008, at her home in Luverne. She was born October 10, 1920, to Nick and Jenny (Spitz) Bach, in Lismore, MN. She graduated from Lismore High School. Vera married Lloyd Hulbert on October 23, 1941, at St. Catherine?s Catholic Church, in Luverne. After their marriage, they lived near an Air Force base in Sargent Bluffs, IA., until Lloyd was finished with his military duty. They moved to luverne, in 1945, where Vera worked as the head cook at the Luverne High School; and later for Pat?s Plumbing and Heating until she retired in 1983. She was a member of the St. Catherine?s Catholic Church, and the Luverne Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, especially growing flowers, and was an avid Minnesota sports fan. Vera is survived by a daughter, Judy (Russ) Larsen, Humboldt, SD; grand-daughter, Kelly Mitchell, Sioux Falls, SD; four great-grandchildren, Heather, Zachary, James & Ashley; two great great-grandchildren, Hailey and Parker; and a sister, Alma Krogman, Lismore. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd, in 1975, three brothers and one sister.
