VERGENE ?JEANNIE? ANN (GETZEL) BOULET, age 70, of Minneapolis, formerly of Fulda, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at the Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington. She was born August 15, 1940, in Fulda, to William and Frances (Geber) Getzel. Jeannie received the sacraments of baptism, first communion and confirmation at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, in Fulda, where she was a member for many years. She attended Fulda Public School graduating in 1958. After high school, Jeannie pursued a career in the medical technology field in Minneapolis. Her education provided her with twenty plus years of employment as Clinic Coordinator of the St. Paul office of CRSAL where she retired in 2004. Words best to describe Jeannie would be ?enjoyed life? and ?independent?. She enjoyed traveling. Some of her trips included Europe, Ireland and Hawaii. Cultural events special to her were the theatre, orchestra hall and history museums. She was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church in Minneapolis. After retirement, Jeannie volunteered for the Minnesota Historical Society. She was also an avid fan of sporting events and took special interest in attending those activities in which her family participated. Jeannie is survived by her two sisters, Adele (Vince) Schindler, New Hope, VA; and Pat Loosbrock, Wilmont; sister-in-law, Joan Getzel, Slayton; two half sisters, Lucille Gerber, Fulda; and Dorothy Gerdes, Fulda; a half brother, Doug Getzel, Fulda; a half sister-in-law, Betty Getzel, Brewster; three nephews, Bill (Donna) Schindler, Chad (Michelle) Loosbrock, and Tom (Wynn) Pittman; six nieces, Kay Schindler, Jenny (Mark) Wibbens, Kris (Gerald) Wolf, Mickey (Steve) Leyendecker, Pam (Kevin) Holloway; and Mary (Bob) Mach; and many great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wally Getzel; and a half brother Joe Getzel.
