VERONICA ELIZABETH HERRMANN, age 84, of Luverne, died Saturday, June 13, 2009, at the Sanford Hospice Cottage in Luverne. She was born May 31, 1925, in Sherman, SD, to John E. and Margaret (Bresnahan) Bergin. Ronnie worked on the family farm as a small child. She worked in the caf? in Watertown, SD while attending beauty school. Ronnie attended country school and high school in Sherman, SD. She rode the train from Sherman, SD to Watertown, SD when she attended Watertown Beauty Academy. Ronnie married Merlin Herrmann on June 15, 1948, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, in Garretson, SD. After their marriage, the couple lived in Luverne where Ronnie operated, Ronnie?s Beauty Shop. She retired in 2008. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, in Luverne; and the National Hairdressers & Cosmetologist Association. Ronnie enjoyed flowers & cooking. She was very proud of her Irish heritage. Ronnie is survived by her twin brother, Vernon Bergin, Sioux Falls, SD; three sisters, Joyce Zwirtz, Laguna Woods, CA; Gertrude Benson, Jasper; and Catherine McCulloch, Sedona, AZ; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merlin, in 1992; sister, Joy; and three brothers, Michael Sharp, Edward & LeRoy Bergin.
