VIOLA ROEMELING, age 92, Adrian, died Thursday, October 13, 2011, at the Sanford Hospice Cottage in Luverne. She was born January 2, 1919, in rural Nobles County, to Lawrence and Clara (Lewis) Reiffenberger.
Viola was united in marriage to John Roemeling on June 11, 1940, in Adrian, MN. They farmed in rural Adrian and retired from farming in 1982.
She was a member of St. Adrian's Catholic Church; and the WCCW. She enjoyed baking homemade bread & rolls, gardening and playing cards, especially pinochle.
Viola is survived by her fifteen children, Jim (Germain) Roemeling, Adrian; Jeannie (Butch) Hieronimus, Adrian; Dorothy  Roemeling, Adrian; Kathy Haken, Worthington; Pat (Bob) Honken, Wilmont; Tom (Bev) Roemeling, Wyoming, MN; Jerry (Cindy) Roemeling, Adrian; Donna Rippel, Worthington; Jack Roemeling, Luverne; Linda (Dennis) Heidebrink, Worthington; Larry (Lezlee) Roemeling, Adrian; Mark (Gloria) Roemeling, Edgerton; Diane (Kenny) Bents, Adrian; Deb Lange, Eagan; and Julie (Doug) Hermeling, Adrian; thirty four grandchildren, fifty nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister, Irene (Victor) Stolpman, St. Joseph; and two brothers, Ray (Cec) Reiffenberger, Sioux Falls, SD; and Lawrence (Verene) Reiffenberger, Watertown, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John, on July 16, 1997; son, Rick, on June 21, 1998; grandson, Michael, on November 1, 2008; four brothers, Elmer, Lester, Norb & Willie Reiffenberger; and four sisters, Marie Couyer, Rosie Smook, Loretta Smeig & Esther Reiffenberger.
