VIOLA MARIE SCHMUCK, age 85, of Luverne, died Sunday, August 29, 2010, at the Sanford Luverne Hospital. She was born August 13, 1925, on the family farm in rural Hardwick, to John and Elizabeth (Peters) Stuckenbroker. She graduated from Country School in rural Hardwick. She was united in marriage to Donald Schmuck on May 7, 1947, at St. John Parsonage, in Luverne. After their marriage, she worked for Ben Franklin in Luverne for sixteen years. They moved to Minnetonka in 1981, where they managed a condo for ten years. In 1991 they retired and moved back to Luverne. Viola was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church where she belonged to the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed dancing to Polka Music, embroidery, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Viola is survived by her husband Donald, five children, Don Schmuck Jr., Omaha, NE; Marilyn Schmuck, Luverne; Dennis Schmuck, Luverne; David (Ava) Schmuck, Fairview Heights, IL; Doreen Milstead, Worthington; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Buss, Lismore; Judy (Dale) Hawes, Luverne; two brothers, Harry (Doris) Stuckenbroker, Jasper; Johnny (Helen) Stuckenbroker, Hardwick. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alvin Stuckenbrocker; two sisters, Arlene Sievert and Helen Stuckenbroker, and one great granddaughter Heidi Leann Milstead.
