Obituary

VIOLET HARMS, age 90, of Rushmore, died, Sunday, August 4, 2010 at the Adrian Care Center in Adrian, MN. She was born June 23, 1919 in Ransom Township, Nobles County, MN; to parents Andrew and Freda (Mohns) Feltman. She attended rural school in Ransom Township. After her schooling she remained on the family farm with her family. Violet was united in marriage to Fred Harms on September 28, 1938 at Rushmore. They lived on the family farm and were engaged in farming Fred preceded her in death in 1975 and she later moved to Rushmore. She became a resident of the Adrian Health Care Center in 2005. She was a member of the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church and was active in the ladies aid. Violet enjoyed gardening, embroidery, sewing and also liked music. Violet is survived by her sons, Verlin Harms, Cleveland, MN; Doyle Harms, Worthington, MN; and Randy Harms, Rushmore, MN; five grandchildren, Ryan (Jodie) Harms, Chad (Cara) Harms, Brittany Harms and friend Luke, Gardell (Sheila) Harms and Darnell (Matt) Cabanilla; and one great granddaughter, Leah Harms. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant granddaughter Joni and an infant brother.
