WALTER A. NESBIT, age 79, of Worthington, died, Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born September 17, 1932 in Rock Valley, IA; to parents William and Sena (Hanson) Nesbit. He attended school in Windom and graduated from Windom High School in 1949.
Walter served his country in the United States Army from 1950 until 1953 and also served in the United States Air Force from 1954 until 1958. He served in all four years of the Korean Conflict. After the service he worked for the Minnesota Department of Transportation in Windom.
He was an avid outdoors man enjoying hunting and fishing and liked to play Bingo. He also raced cars for a short time and always enjoyed watching car races at nearby tracks. He was also a volunteer fireman and an EMT for the City of Windom.
Walter is survived by a special friend Katherine Vosberg of Worthington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Elma Judson, June Schafner and Betty Mae Baker; and one brother, Art Culver.
There is no funeral service scheduled.
