WAYNE JOHN DOMEYER, age 79, of Adrian, died Monday, January 21, 2008, at the Sanford Hospital in Luverne. He was born June 8, 1928, on the family farm south of Adrian, to Herman and Margaret (Sassen) Domeyer. Wayne attended St. Adrian Catholic School. He served his country in the United States Army 175th Field Artillery. Wayne married Lenore McVenis on January 13, 1954, at St. Xavier Catholic Church. After their marriage, the couple farmed south of Adrian until retiring in 1993. In 1999, they moved to Adrian. He was a member of St. Adrian Catholic Church; and the Adrian American Legion. He enjoyed restoring antique cars and attending car shows, bowling, casinos & traveling. Wayne is survived by his wife, Lenore Domeyer, Adrian; seven children, Lynnette Domeyer, Worthington; Randy (Pat) Domeyer, Adrian; Harlan Domeyer, Sioux Falls, SD; Peggy (Larry Behrends) Domeyer, Adrian; Scott Domeyer, Luverne; Lori (Steve) Lagua, Worthington; and Brenda (Jon) Sandermann, Fairfax; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two brothers, Floyd Domeyer, Mitchell, SD; and Dale (Dorothy) Domeyer, Ellsworth. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Eugene, in 1973; grandson, Jeremy, in 2007; brother, Merle Domeyer; and three sisters, Stella Engbarth, Pearl Bauman & Mertle Domeyer.
