WILLIE ELLIS JOHNSON, age 96, of Worthington, died Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society in Jackson. He was born June 6, 1919, in Kansas City, KS, to Roy and Mabel Johnson. He graduated from high school.
Willie married Deedre Johnson on April 20, 1993, in Worthington. After their marriage, the couple lived in Worthington. Willie worked at Armour Meats in Worthington for over thirty four years before retiring.
He was a member of the Royal Order of Masons. Willie enjoyed fishing, eating at restaurants, and going for walks. He loved music especially playing his trumpet and listening to Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder and Dizzy Gillespie.
Willie is survived by his wife, Deedre Johnson, Worthington; daughter, Cheniqua Johnson, Worthington; and his son, Martez Johnson, Worthington.
