Yvette F. Roos, age 60, died on October 30th, 2009 at her home in Bellingham, WA; after a two and a half year fight with lung cancer. Yvette faced this battle with determination, strength and grace. Yvette was born on February 10, 1949 to Gary and LuElla Roos Sr. in Worthington, MN. Yvette was employed at Puget Sound Energy for the last eighteen years. She loved being with friends plus anything to do with the outdoors including exploring the back roads of Washington, working in her yard, golfing, fishing and being with her dog Cokey. Yvette was an accomplished photographer and had one of her photos selected and published in the Best of Photography Annual of 1993. She is survived by her brothers Roman (Peggy) Roos, Victoria, MN; Gary Jr. (Joan) Roos, Worthington, MN; and her sister Tammy (Lynn) Brunk, Worthington, MN; nieces, nephews and long time companion Mike Kussman and Cokey, Bellingham, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elizabeth Tofteland. A time of fellowship will be from 10:30 to 11:30 AM on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. The Memorial Service will be Saturday at 11:30 AM at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington officiated by Pastor Juanita Harberts. Burial of the cremains will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Worthington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Cottage Inc.
