ANDREW SCHEFFLER, age 88, of Lismore, died Friday, December 11, 2020, at the Sanford Luverne Medical Center. He was born June 19, 1932, in Westside Township, rural Adrian, to John and Katherine (Gerardy) Scheffler. He attended country school.
Andy married JoAnn LeBrun on October 2, 1956, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore. The couple made their home in rural Adrian. Andy drove truck for Richard Klooster until he began farming, with his father-in-law, Peter LeBrun, in the early 1960’s when they moved south of Lismore. Andy started auctioneering professionally in the early 1980’s until 2005, with Duane Mulder.
He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore; and the Worthington Optimist Club. He loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Andy is survived by his four children, Laura (Larry) Ailts, Worthington; Ken (Mary) Scheffler, Westport, WA; Dale (Sandy) Scheffler, Willmar, MN; and Mike (Jodi) Scheffler, Kirkland, WA; eight grandchildren, Craig (Laura) Ailts, Julie Ailts, Ryan (Alison) Scheffler, Jason (Shantel) Scheffler, Kasey (fiancée, Robby Vander Veen) Scheffler, Tom Scheffler, Matt Scheffler, and Joe Scheffler; four great-grandchildren, Lydia Ailts, Aftyn & Beckett Scheffler, and Leighton Scheffler; two sisters, Henrietta Bullerman, Fulda; and Toddy (Jim) Voss, Adrian; two sisters-in-law, Rita Scheffler, Worthington; and Bette LeBrun, Luverne; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert & Jamie LeBrun, Lismore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, JoAnn on August 26, 2005; infant son, Thomas in February of 1959; two brothers, John and Elmer Scheffler; and two sisters, Rosemary Kellen and Celine Klein.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, graveside service will be 12 noon Monday at St. Anthony Cemeterfy in Lismore, officiated by Monsignor Richard Colletti.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
