BEVERLY ELIZABETH VOGEL, age 96, of Worthington, MN, died Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at the Prince of Peace Retirement Community in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born May 1, 1924, in Hutchinson, MN, to Frank and Rada (Ross) Triplett. She attended school in Garvin, until the family moved to Tracy where she completed her education, graduating in 1942 with a class of 100.
Beverly was employed at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, in Tracy, and later attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD, where she met Ronald L. Vogel (a returning WWII Vet). They were married in the United Methodist Church in Tracy, on November 4, 1947. The couple made their home in Tracy, MN, and to this union four children were born, Randy Ross, Susan Frances and twins, Kim Jay and Jane Beth. Then in 1967, the family moved to Worthington, MN, where she worked at the Daily Globe for 30 years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Bev was always an active member of the United Methodist Women. She was a great lover of gardening, camping and so appreciated miracles of God’s world. She dearly loved her husband, children and a grandchildren… family was always her life.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Ronald Vogel, Sioux Falls, SD; four children, Randy (Kacey) Vogel, Port Orange, FL; Susan (Paul) Mehrer Sioux Falls, SD; Kim (Virginia) Vogel, Asheville, NC; and Jane (Steven) Beyer, Mesa, AZ; seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Meredith, Whitney, Katherine, Kristin, Kelsey, and Nathan, six great grandchildren, Jameson, Abigail, Sebastian, Jaxon, Olivia and Grayson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Kenneth Triplett, and twin grandsons, Brent and Brandon Beyer.
A private family funeral service will take place at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington, MN.
