DALE JOHN KEMPER, age 82, of Sibley, IA, died Sunday, March 22, 2020, at the Sibley Nursing & Rehab Center in Sibley, IA. He was born June 21, 1937, in Lismore, to John and Dena (Ernst) Kemper. Dale attended St. Anthony Catholic School. He served his country in the United States Army.
Dale married Wilma Sue Evans; the couple later divorced. Dale married Lydia Moreno on June 12, 1982, in Tucson, AZ. The couple lived in Tucson, AZ for thirteen years before moving to Sibley, IA. Dale worked construction.
He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and visiting with family & friends.
He is survived by his two daughters, Annette Perez-Kemper, Worthington; and Barbara Kemper, Worthington; two step children, Cary, NC; and Alan (Kathy) Erickson, Hurricane, UT; seven grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many step great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marion (Bob) Hinrichs, Sibley, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; ex-wife, Wilma; wife, Lydia; and three brothers, Victor, Donald and George Kemper.
A time of fellowship will be from 5-7 pm Thursday, officiated by Roxanne Kemper, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Graveside service with full military honors provided by the Lismore American Legion will be 10 am Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Lismore.
