Delores Ratsch Obituary

   Delores Jean Ratsch (August 31, 1942 - September 25, 2023)
Delores was born to Dale & Agnes (Hovland) Hansberger and grew-up in Worthington, MN on the farm homesteaded by her great grandfather, John Hansberger.
She attended a one-room country school before going to 8th grade in Worthington.  After graduating from high school in 1960, she attended Worthington Community College for one year followed by Swedish Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis, where she received her Registered Nursing degree in 1964.  After graduating, she stayed at Swedish Hospital where she put her degree to use.
Delores married Hilman Charles Ratsch at First Methodist Church in Worthington on October 10, 1964. The couple moved to Berkeley, CA, where Delores worked at UC Berkeley Student Health Service 1965-1967. They started a family and moved to Cincinnati, OH in 1967 followed by Raleigh, NC in 1970.
In 1973 they settled in Corvallis, OR where Delores became a stay-at-home mom for their three children, Eric, Amy & Brady.
Delores led a full life and had many hobbies, including sewing, baking, and 4-H.  Her love of family and documenting life with photographs is a treasure for now and generations to come.  She shared her smile and enthusiasm for life by being an active volunteer in many community organizations including church and city committees.  She was also a longtime fan and supporter of her niece's musical non-profit organization, Harmony South Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Julie Ann Hansberger Robertson, brother-in-law Dennis Ratsch and sister-in-law Mary Brown Robertson.

She is survived by her husband Hilman, brother Paul Hansberger (Beverly) of Worthington, brother-in-law Bill Robertson of Minneapolis, son Eric & grandson Steven of Seattle, daughter Amy (Scott Pappas) of Los Angeles, son Brady (Melissa) and grandchildren Chandler, Megan, & Savanna of Spokane and many nieces and nephews.
