FAYE AILTS, age, 88, of Worthington, died Friday, March 5, 2021, at the Sanford Worthington Medical Center. She was born September 17, 1932, in rural Rushmore, to Arthur and Ethel (Milton) Lemke. She attended and graduated from a rural Rushmore country school.
Faye married Lester Ailts in 1950, at the Emanuel Presbyterian Church, in Rushmore. After their marriage, they moved to the family farm. They moved to Worthington in 1958, where Faye stayed at home to raise their children. She worked at the Worthington Bakery and Hy-Vee in Worthington until she was in her late 70s. She moved to the Meadows, in Worthington, in 2015.
She was a member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Rushmore. She enjoyed flowers and her flower gardens, and always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Faye is survived by three children, Verlin (Sharon) Ailts, Yankton, SD; Meredith (Dean) Hendrikson, Spokane, WA; and LeAnn Reker, Appleton, WI; six grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and s sister, Ferne Schneiderman, Worthington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester; and a sister, Wilma Geerdes.
A private family graveside service will be held at 11 am Tuesday.
