FLORENCE VOSS, age 88, of Lismore, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at the Sanford Health Care Center in Adrian. She was born June 29, 1920, in rural Nobles County, Little Rock Township, to Herbert and Sophie (Erdman) Lynn. She attended high school and college in IA and became a teacher. She taught all eight grades in a one room country school until she met Clarence. Florence married Clarence Voss on October 9, 1944, in Lismore. The couple farmed in north of Lismore until 1970. Florence worked at Mouw?s Hatchery, in Leota, before retiring. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore, where she served on the decorating committee for many years; the CCW; Catholic Daughters of America Court St. Bernard for over fifty years; and the Project Club. She enjoyed baking bread, making cinnamon rolls & making ceramics. Florence is survived by her four children and their spouses, Bill & Connie Voss, Windom; Mary Pieper (Bruce Carter), Windom; Ruth Luettel, Adrian; and Larry & Lori Voss, Adrian; thirteen grandchildren, Steve (Jodi) Voss, Doug (Lesley) Voss, Scott (Teri) Voss, Mike (Stacey) Pieper, Lori (Van) Lindell, Dawn Pieper, Dean (Jennifer) Luettel, Kristi (Dave) Wempen, Brad (Nicole) Luettel, Sarah Luettel, Brent Voss, Christine Voss & Hilary Voss; eleven great grandchildren; brother, Bob (Jeanette) Lynn, Lismore; and five sisters, Viola (Emmett) Skov, Omaha, NE; Ila (Jim) Daly, Des Moines, IA; Helen (Bill) McCann, Canton, SD; Irene (Loren) Kruger, Austin; and Jeanne Rasmussen, Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence, on March 5, 1999; son-in-law, James Luettel in 2001, a brother, Clyde Lynn; and two sisters, Kay Hagge & Darlene Smith.
