Florence V. (Williams) (Gaiser) Ling
   At the age of 102 and 12 days Florence passed peacefully at the Meadows in Worthington on April 2nd, 2021.  A celebration of life service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church of Worthington on Monday, April 5th at 11:00 with a family Interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
   Florence was a resident of the Worthington, MN area her whole life.  She was born March 21, 1919 at home south of Worthington.  Florence graduated from Worthington High School in 1939.   After graduation she worked as a bookkeeper at Worthington Farmers Elevator.  On February 25, 1944 she married Lester Ling and they lived and farmed for 30 years in Indian Lake Township and together raised 3 children, Allen, Roger and Rhonna.  Florence was a lifelong member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church being confirmed at the age of 9, a very active 4-H leader and extension club leader.  She was an accomplished seamstress and also loved to knit, crochet, socialize, play cards, ice-cream cones and her cat Fritz.  Many family and friends received afghans as gifts from her.  Upon retirement in 1974 they moved to Worthington.  Lester died in 1988 after 45 years of marriage.  At a class reunion Florence got reacquainted with a classmate, Kenneth Gaiser from California, at the time and they married in 1990.  They enjoyed spending winters in Arizona and summers in Worthington.  Florence would always say “I was so lucky to have had two such wonderful husbands”.
   Left to cherish her memory is her children, Allen L. Ling, Roger D. (Sherry) Ling of Worthington and Rhonna M. (Galen) Nilson of Lake Crystal, MN.  Eight grandsons;  Stephen (Stephanie) Ling, Fridley, MN, Byron (Jennifer) Ling, South Bend IN, Jason (Carrie) Ling, Brewster, Travis (Diana Rickert) Ling, Rhinelander, WI, Joshua (Javanese) Ling, Romeoville, IL, Cory (Gretchen Gerovac) Nilson, Webster, WI, Justin (Sara) Nilson and Trevor (Rachelle Rice) Nilson of Lake Crystal, MN, 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
   Florence was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Etna (Hagerman) Williams, her husbands’, Lester T. Ling married 45 years and Kenneth L. Gaiser married 25 years, her siblings and in-laws, sister Gladys (Alvin/Shorty) Shelquist, brothers Dorsey (Alice) Williams, Erwin (Evelyn)Williams, Russell (Evelyn) Williams, and daughter-in-law Vicki.
   Memorials preferred to Given Choice or Westminster Presbyterian Church.
