GENEVIEVE DIEKMANN, age 94, of Worthington, formerly of Luverne, died Monday, April 2, 2012, at the South Shore Care Center in Worthington. She was born March 29, 1918, in Lismore, to Louis and Catherine (Fath) Fritz. She attended country school near Lismore and St. Anthony Catholic School in Lismore.
   Genevieve married Frank Diekmann on June 6, 1949, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Lismore before retiring and moving to Luverne in November of 1974. Frank died on December 29, 1980. Genevieve moved to Worthington in 2007.
   She was a former member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne; a current member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington; the WCCW; the Pink Ladies; and the Luverne VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed flowers, puzzels, crocheting, mission sewing and spending time with her family.
   Genevieve is survived by her sister, Charlotte Schmit, Worthington; and many nieces & nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; and a brother, Wilfred Fritz.
    Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 am Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington. Funeral will be 11 am Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, officiated by Fr. James Calahan. Burial will be in the St. Catherine Cemetery in Luverne.
