JULIA ANNE BERGER, age 74, of Worthington, died Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at The Sanford Worthington Medical Center. Julia was born December 1, 1945, in Worthington; she was the daughter of Hardy and June (Morfitt) Boots. Julia grew up in Worthington and graduated in 1963.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church where she was a volunteer. She also volunteered for the Hospital Auxiliary, and the Worthington Memorial Auditorium. Julia was a manager for K-mart for 26 years; she was then employed for Wells Fargo in Worthington, and was also a para for the Worthington Schools.
Julia loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending all their sporting events. She also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins, Vikings and Gophers.
Julia is survived by her three children, Jeff (Janice) Berger, Worthington; Joan Ferdinand, Sioux Falls, SD; James (Robin) Berger, Aurora CO; eight grandchildren, Jeremy (Danielle) Berger, Erica Berger, Brittany (Casey) Vis, Brandon (Emma Youngquist) Berger, Zachary Ferdinand, Elizabeth Ferinand, Ashley Berger, Brock Berger, two great grandchildren, William Vis, Noah Berger, one brother Hardy (Diane) Boots, two sisters, Deb (Hobart) Moss, Pamela (Kevin) Fleming, sister-in-law, Janice Boots, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hardy and June Boots, one brother, James Boots and a niece Katherine Fleming.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 8 from 2-3 pm at the First Lutheran Church, in Worthington, followed by a Funeral Service at 3 pm, Pastor Jeanette McCormick will officiate. Burial will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Worthington.
