Kitthachone "John" Sengvongxay

KITTHACHONE "JOHN" SENGVONGXAY, age 49, of Luverne, MN passed away peacefully on Friday, January 29, 2021, at his home.

John was born on June 7, 1971 in Laos, to Boutsady and Ly (Pheng) Sengvongxay. John came to the United States in 1980. After graduating from high school in Bakersfield, CA he moved to Magnolia, MN.

John married Souksamay Limsithi in Magnolia, MN. The couple lived in Luverne, MN. John worked at Gold N’ Plump in Luverne, MN for over 15 years then went to Grand Prairie Foods in Sioux Falls, SD as a Maintenance Technician. He was a handy man and was known to make something out of nothing. He loved spending his time being outdoors, fishing, watching his children’s sporting events, and singing karaoke. John will be remembered as a loving husband, a caring father, and a supportive brother.

John is survived by his parents, Boutsady and Ly (Pheng) Sengvongxay, Bakersfield, CA; wife, Souksamay Limsithi, Luverne, MN; four children, Nikki Sengvongxay, Luverne, MN; Toby Sengvongxay, Luverne, MN; Devin Sengvongxay, Luverne, MN; and Xander Sengvongxay, Luverne, MN; and three brothers, Rasamy Sengvongxay, Bakersfield, CA; Sisomphone Sengvongxay, Bakersfield, CA; and Viengxay Sengvongxay, Bakersfield, CA; and one sister, Viengkeo Sengvongxay, Bakersfield, CA.

   Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Luverne.  Funeral will be 1 pm Friday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington.
