Lloyd Herbert Julius

   LLOYD HERBERT JULIUS, age 96, of Clitherall, formerly of Ellsworth, died Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Country Living in Henning. He was born February 6, 1926, in Lyon County, IA, to Heybo and Peterka (Aeilts) Julius. He graduated from Ellsworth High School. He served his country in the Naval Reserve.

   Lloyd married Phyllis Ketelboeter on November 14, 1947, in Ellsworth. After their marriage, the couple lived in Sioux Falls, SD, where Lloyd worked at Concrete Materials as a quarry superintendant.

   He was an active member of Central Baptist Church in Sioux Falls. In 1978, Lloyd & Phyllis moved to Denver, CO, where they lived for 23 years. In 2001, they moved to their final home on Lake Clitherall in Clitherall, MN. He enjoyed reading, sitting in the sunshine and watching softball. He always enjoyed talking with people.

   Lloyd is survived by his son, James (Gloria) Julius, York, PA; daughter, Janet (James) Eitzen, Deer Creek; daughter-in-law, Teresa (Randy) Soderberg, Brighton, CO; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two brothers, Ervin and Harvey Julius.

   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis on February 14, 2009; and a son, Leroy Julius.

   Funeral service will be Friday, Sept. 23, at 3 pm at Waters Edge Church in Henning; with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial with full military honors will be Saturday at 3 pm at the Bethel Reformed Cemetery in rural Ellsworth.

   Dingmann Funeral Home, in Adrian, is in charge of arrangements.
