Margaret Mary (Madison) Pick

   MARGARET MARY PICK, age 72, of Luverne, died Monday,  April 4, 2022, at the Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, AZ.  Margaret was the twelfth child born on December 7, 1949, to Alma (Wieneke) and Floyd Madison.  She grew up on the family farm and  graduated from St. Adrian Catholic High School in 1967.   She took a financial secretary course at Pipestone Area Vo-Tech.

   Margaret married Gerald R. Pick on June 28, 1969, at St. Adrian Catholic Church in Adrian.  She worked for A R Wood Manufacturing, where she was encouraged to give blood and did so until she surpassed nine gallons over the years.  She later started a home day care business for 35 years.

   She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne.  Margaret  loved spending time with her family and always enjoyed a good card game with friends.  Margaret liked to travel and would always seem to bring home a rock from her latest adventure.   She prided herself in the fact that she never dyed her hair. 

   Her husband of forty four years passed in 2013.  She reunited with a very good friend from Pipestone, Gene Van Heuvelen.   She was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and CHF in March of 2018, which took her life three years later.

   Margaret is survived by her four children, Steven (Jennifer) Pick, Spencer, IA; Kevin (Nicole) Pick, Sioux Falls, SD; Brian (Renae) Pick, Luverne; Joleen (Rick) Mueller, Mitchell, SD; ten grandchildren, Kaylee, Madison, Carson, Spencer, Carter, Ashton, Mason, Reagen, Kennedy, McKinley; her friend Gene Van Heuvelen, Pipestone; siblings, Morris (Brenda) Madison, Aurora, CO; Earl (Marilyn) Madison, Adrian; Rita Becker, Pueblo, CO; Joyce Faragher and her friend Harold,  Worthington; Dianne Beckmann, Wilmont; in-laws, Dennis (Deanna) Pick, Kenneth; Linda (Gerald) Schmuck, Gulfport, MS; Lori Pick, Luverne; Diane (Dennis) Strassburg, Magnolia.
