MARIE C. HENRIKSEN, age 88, of Lismore, died Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at the Sanford Luverne Hospital. She was born October 15, 1921, in rural Lismore, to Joseph J. and Katherine (Kemper) Henning. She attended school in Lismore and graduated from Mankato Beauty School. Marie married Lloyd Henriksen on January 9, 1941, at St. Catherine Rectory in Luverne. After their marriage, the couple farmed south of Luverne. In 1946, they moved to Lismore where Marie worked as a beautician. She opened Marie?s Beauty Shop, in Lismore, in 1951. Marie retired in 2000. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore; the WCCW; and the Lismore American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Marie enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren. She spent many hours praying for her family & friends. She began life as an only child and finished life with a family of 106. Marie is survived by her eight children and their spouses, Audrey Stoffel, Litchfield; Jerry & Verna Henriksen, Sioux Falls, SD; Ronny & Myrlis Henriksen, Black Duck; Lenny Henriksen, Casper, WY; Butch & Therese Henriksen, Golden Valley; Wes & Rose Henriksen, Adrian; Duke Henriksen, Evansville, WY; and Tami & Denny Loosbrock, Champlain; twenty seven grandchildren; thirty seven great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; son-in-law, Denny Gerber, Wilmont; and two daughters-in-law, Donna Henriksen, Litchfield; and Chris Henriksen, Evansville, WY. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd, in 1976; two daughters, Marsha, in 1957; and Arleen, in 2010; son, Troy, in 1979; grandson, LaMonte Stoffel, in 1959; and a son-in-law, Darwin Stoffel, in 2005. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Friday, with a rosary service at 4 pm & 8 pm, ladies auxiliary service at 7:30 pm with parish prayers to follow, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore. Visitation also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Funeral will be 10:30 am Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Lismore, celebrated by Fr. Timothy Hall, Fr. David Krogman & Roxanne Kemper. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery, in Lismore. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Dingmann Funeral Home, in Adrian, is in charge of arrangements.
