Marlys Joyce Harper

Marlys Joyce Harper, died on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Marlys was born on November 29, 1949 in Adrian, MN; to parents John and Phyllis (Elsing) Rabenberg. She graduated from Worthington High School in 1967. After graduation she attended beauty school in Fairmont, graduating in 1968. Marlys was united in marriage to Douglas Harper on June 27, 1983.

She lived and worked in Minneapolis as a hairdresser. At the age of 40 she became a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines retiring in 2006. After retirement they moved to Perham, MN; and she worked at Barrel O' Fun till 2013.

After her retirement she enjoyed gardening, and traveling as her health allowed. Marlys loved going to thrift stores, her animals, and was a very giving person who enjoyed people.

Marlys is survived by her brothers Donald (Marlene) Rabenberg, Rushmore and Merle (Diane) Rabenberg, Wilmont. Her nieces Susan (John) VandenBerg, Hills; Kathy (Matt) Wieneke, Rushmore; Ellen Rabenberg, Huntsville, AL; and Beth (Nick) Dunbar, Ogallala, NE. Also surviving great nieces and nephews Kaden, Tucker, Samantha, Taylor, Teddy, Nancy, Woody and Rudy. Also survived by her beloved cats, Sammy and Munchkin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Douglas Harper on March 1, 2010 and step daughter Laurie Drews.

 Visitation will be Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 12 to 2 PM at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington, followed by the service at 2 PM.

Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington are in charge of arrangements.
