Mildred Moen Obituary

   Mildred Jepson Moen, age 96, of Luverne, died Friday, March 20, 2020, at Sanford Hospital in Luverne. She was born February 20, 1924 to Peter and Rose (Borman) Peterson in Tracy, MN. She grew up on a farm near Garvin, MN. She graduated from Tracy High School in 1943. She worked at the Nickle Plate Café and the Manchester Biscuit Co. in Sioux Falls, S.D. She married Junior Jepson on June 12, 1948 in Sioux Falls, S.D. They lived there three years before coming to Luverne. She worked at the Campbell Soup Company in Worthington for three years. She was last employed at the Blue Mound Inn restaurant near Luverne for twenty five years. Junior. Jepson died August 31, 1991. She married Osborn Moen on July 6, 1996 at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Bemidji, MN. He died January 28, 2001. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, a life member of the VFW and the American Legion Auxiliaries. She was also a member of the RSVP and did volunteer work at the Mary Jane Brown Home and Veterans Home. She sewed quilts at church and at home. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, traveling and being surrounded by her family and friends. She was looking forward to the birth of her great-great grandchild in October. She is survived by her three children, Cheryl (Allan) Kruse, Cape Coral, FL; Ron Jepson, Luverne; Pam (Patrick) Ruppert, Magnolia; five grandchildren, Brian (Carrie) VandenBussche; Lisa (Reed) Sayler; Cassie (Jake) Kasparek; Nicole Vanweston, Cory Van Noort, Joshua Markl; four stepchildren, James, Susan, Kari, Vancouver, Wa. and Carla, Kingman, AZ; ten great grandchildren, sister Evelyn Chadbourn, Sun City, AZ; brother Marvin Peterson, Lynd, MN; a host of other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, first and second husbands, son, Gary (Chops) Jepson, two brothers Robert and Earl (Pete) Peterson, sister, Grace Ankrum. Mildred Moen, age 96, of Luverne, died Friday, March 20, 2020, at the Sanford Luverne Medical Center.

    Private graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Luverne.  A public memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, in Luverne, at a later date.  

   Dingmann Funeral Home, in Luverne, is in charge of arrangements.
