MYRTLE “TOOTIE” FAYE FRODERMANN, age 90, of Round Lake, died Monday, August 22, 2022, at Hospice of Murray County. She was born June 7, 1932 in Bismarck, ND, to Walter and Harriet (Norton) Radke. She attended Sioux Valley School. Tootie was baptized January 23, 1944 at her parent's home in Sioux Valley Township. She was confirmed April 14, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux Valley.
Tootie married Walter Frodermann on August 7, 1949, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux Valley. They farmed in Sioux Valley Township with his parents. They also farmed with his parents at the Iowa lake farm. Walt and Tootie later branched out into farming on their own in Round Lake Township.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church of Round Lake and their Ladies Aid. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and marbles, hosting Sunday dinners and collecting angels and plates. She loved making Christmas ornaments each year for every grandchild and great grandchild. She made countless batches of cracked sugar cookies that were devoured by her family. She constructed many quilts, doll clothes, and numerous crafts. She managed to find enough time for all of these hobbies while raising a large family and entertaining frequent guests.
Tootie is survived by her three sons, Larry (Bev) Frodermann, Heron Lake; Les (Deb) Frodermann, Worthington; and David (Janna) Frodermann, Brewster; two daughters, Nancy (Arn) Ihrke, Round Lake; and Marlene (Dennis) Bucholz, Round Lake; a foster son, Roger (Charlotte) Frodermann of Hartley, IA; daughter-in-law, Diane Frodermann, Jackson; son-in-law, Christopher Kondaki, Mechanicsville, VA; twenty one grandchildren; forty four great-grandchildren; a brother, Bud (Teresa) Radke, Lakefield; and her special helper; Jim “Jimbo” Frodermann, Worthington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walt on October 14, 2006; son, Dennis in 2021; daughter, Sharon in 2021; infant son, Ricky in 1956; granddaughter, Rebecca Ihrke in 1981; and two brothers, Donald & Dale Radke.

Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 pm at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Funeral will be 2 pm Saturday at the Bethel Lutheran Church of Round Lake, officiated by Pastor Virgil Ewoldt. Burial will be in the Round Lake Cemetery.
