NANCY “NAN” MARIE HOFFENKAMP, age 78, of Adrian, died Sunday, February 2, 2020, at the Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage. She was born July 24, 1941, in Alcester, SD, to Roscoe and Fern (Miller) Bickett. She graduated from Adrian High School in 1959.
Nan married Marvin Hoffenkamp on August 4, 1962, in Rushmore. After their marriage, the couple lived in Adrian. Nan began working as the Office Manager at the Veterinary Medical Center, in Adrian, in 1972. She retired in 2007. Nan also owned & operated Hoffenkamp Bus Service, in Adrian, along with her husband. They were also foster parents for Nobles County for over 10 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Worthington. She also served as the UMW president and as a lay speaker.
Nana was very proud of all her grandchildren and loved attending their events whenever she could. She always managed to stay busy despite having Stage 4 cancer these last 3 ½ years. She had a very strong faith and was ready to be reunited with the love of her life, Marv.
Nan is survived by her three daughters, Ruth & Randy Gunnink, Brandon, SD; Ceta & Mark Zebe, Adrian, MN; and Dolly, MN; 14 grandchildren, Robert, Zeke, Isaiah, Izak and Tyli Gunnink; Diego, Gabriela, Brisa, Jayden, Scott, Brylee Zebe; Mackenzie Miller; Austin and Angel. Sister, Sallie (Ken) Hicks, WA and their children and grandchildren. She also be missed by her many Bickett cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Marvin on December 15, 2007.
Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Thursday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Funeral will be 10:30 am Friday at the First United Methodist Church, in Worthington, officiated by Pastor Daren Flinck. Burial will be in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
