Steve Nath

   STEVE NATH, loving husband, father & grandfather age 68, of Luverne, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family by his side. He was born January 14, 1952, in Luverne, to Orlen and Corinne (Ruddy) Nath. Steve graduated from Luverne High School in 1970. He later earned his associates degree from Worthington Community College.

Steven married Wendy Weasmer on November 1, 1975 at St. Joe’s Catholic Church, in Sugar Creek, IA. He worked on the family farm for many years. He worked for IBP in Luverne until they closed. He worked for Luverne Body Shop as an auto body tech until he retired in 2019.

He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne where he served on the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of Rock County Sportsman Club. He enjoyed trap shooting, the Minnesota Twins, bowling, playing pinochle, Yahtzee, camping, fishing, feeding the birds and squirrels and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Wendy, Luverne; three children, Angie Nath, Luverne; Scott (Lani) Nath, Morehead, MN; Jeremy (Sarah) Nath, Luverne; five grandchildren, Zan, Jayda (Seth), Payton, Sayler, Paisley; mother, Corinne Nath, Luverne; step-mother Mary Jo Nath, Luverne; two brothers, Michael (Janet) Nath, Luverne; Thomas (Lisa) Nath, Luverne; two sisters, Pamela (Michael) Welch, Yankton, SD; Joni (Kraig) Keck, Sioux Falls, SD; stepbrother, Kevin (Karen) Brandenburg, Burnsville; stepsister, Susan (Randy) Schneekloth, Luverne; and many nieces and nephews. Sister in law, Sandy (Dan) Ricks, Bountiful, UT; brothers in law, Jim (Cheryl) Weasmer, Kansas City, KS; Steve Harrity, Kansas City, KS.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Orlen Nath and two brothers, Joel Nath and Gregg Nath, father and mother in law, James & Joyce Weasmer; sister in law, Lori Harrity.

   A private family graveside service will be 1PM Friday at St. Catherine Catholic Cemetery, in Luverne, officiated by Monsignor Gerald Kosse.

   Dingmann Funeral Home, in Luverne, is assisting the family with arrangements.
