Thomas "TK" Klein Obituary

Thomas "TK" Wilfred Klein, age 57, of Luverne, died Saturday November 7, 2020, in Luverne. He was born January 19, 1963, in Adrian, to Wilfred and Celine (Scheffler) Klein. Tom graduated with the last senior graduating class from Magnolia High School in 1981 with 12 great classmates. He then went onto Granite Falls Area Vocational Technical Institute and received his Associates Degree in Accounting.

Tom married the love of his life, Sandy Elias on September 10, 1983, at St. Adrian Catholic Church in Adrian. The couple lived in the Twin Cities area for 14 years. Tom worked as an accountant for Wangerin, Inc., Tom Mertz Electric and Suburban Electric. Family meant everything to Tom and Sandy and they moved back home to be closer to their parents in Luverne to raise their children the way they were raised and it was the best decision ever. For the past 23 years Tom started his own accounting firm TK’s Accounting and has worked with many clients throughout the area spending most of his days at Son-D-Farms/Skattum Confinement.

He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne and a member of the Adrian Country Club. Tom was an avid sports lover; he played basketball and football in high school and his passion for sports, specifically the MN Gophers, continued through his whole life. The best years of his life was watching and cheering his kids on at every one of their activities. Tom was a genuine, kind, giving and loving friend to anyone who knew him. His fun personality was contagious and he could light up the room with his smile. He spent his time enjoying a game of golf, playing cards with his buddies, working hard in his office, listening to 80's music, going on vacations with his family or friends and spending every moment he could with his grandkids at his lake cabin on Lake Shetek and last but not least planning what the next fun event for his family/friends should be.

Tom is survived by his wife, Sandy Klein, Luverne; three children, Jessica (Dallas) Hamm, Luverne; Alyssa (Mike) Amborn, Montevideo; and Brandon Klein, Sioux Falls; five grandchildren, Samuel Amborn, Carter Hamm, Caroline Amborn, Collin Hamm, Evelyn Amborn and baby Amborn & baby Hamm; brother, Duane (Chris) Klein, Rollingstone; three sisters, Marilyn (Jim) Jellema, Hills; Shirley (Steve) Top, Luverne; and Connie (Joel) Hesse, Jackson; father and mother-in-law, Bill & Carolyn Elias, Adrian; three brothers-in-laws, Steve (Terri) Elias, Adrian; David (Patty) Elias, Lakeville; and Dean (Stacie) Elias, Adrian; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
