Mr Blom was a joy to know and a shining example of Christ's love. He always showed love and gentleness. It was a pleasure to talk with him whenever he visited Mayfair-Plymouth Church in Toledo, OH. Our deepest sympathy for your great loss. Your entire family will remain in our daily thoughts and prayers.

My deepest condolences on your loss. I have many memories of Dick as a Sunday School teacher, and also as a role model. So sorry I am unable to make it to Leota on Thursday for the funeral but know that my thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Thinking of you all today as you celebrate a very special life! How gentle and good is our God in the way He orchestrated all of the recent events - giving you special times together and time to say good-bye. May you be very aware of God's presence walking with you this week.

My sympathy to your family in the loss of your husband, dad and grandfather. As a kid I would see Dick and Pauline in church. He was a faithful follower of Christ and you can find comfort in knowing he is with Jesus and you will see him again. Carry the precious memories with you.

Sherlyn and family,

My deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your Dad. It isn't easy to see a loved one go home but it is harder to see them suffer. May you have lots of loving and happy memories to carry with you in the days ahead. It is not goodbye but see you later in heaven!

My condolences on the loss of you husband, father and friend. Dick was an important part of my life. As my uncle I not only recall fondly the family times, but his smile, voice and kind manner.

I recall my amazement at his auctioneering "voice" . As a kid I didn't understand how a regular person could speak like that. OK I'm old and I still don't know how he did it.

He had 92 wonderful years of service and raising a great family. We will miss him but not forget him.

Aunt Pauline, and my cousins, I am sure you will miss him, but he, and the things he did, will not be forgotten.

May God comfort you in this time.

Jody
