CURTIS LEE CORBIN, age 56, of South Shore, SD, formerly of Leota, died of a sudden heart attack Monday, November 17, 2008, at the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born November 15, 1952, in Pipestone, to Gilbert Warren and Bertha (Koelewyn) Corbin. Curt grew up on the family farm near Leota. He attended Leota Christian School; and Southwest Christian High School. He later attended Worthington Community College. At the time of his death, Curt was working for R & L Splicing in Toronto, SD. He enjoyed living by the lake at South Shore, SD. Curt also enjoyed fishing; but he had a passion for music. Curt played guitar & banjo for many years. He spent a lot of time with his son, Trevor. Curt is survived by his daughter, Katy Corbin, Tucson, AZ; son, Trevor Corbin, South Shore, SD; parents, Gilbert & Bertha Corbin, Edgerton; brother, Rod (Ruth) Corbin, Edgerton; two sisters, Bonnie (Garvin) Vis, Leota; and Glenna (Jeff) Backer, Pipestone; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Garvin Corbin, in 1959.
