Bonnie and Ronnie...and extended family,

It is with great joy I share kind words about your dad both in this email and as the priest who will lead everyone in prayer on Saturday. Wally was my friend. I often told him, next to seeing my mom when I came home from Seminary, he was the next person I wanted to see. I look at Wally and believe he is the last of the "old" card players to die. He couldn't play cards worth a hoot and I always told him he helped pay my tuition. Of course her would say, "I got some of your money too."

Wally is one of those I look forward to seeing again. I pray that will happen and that is my certain hope. He, and many others, helped make it fun growing up in little Ellsworth and I am proud to have walked with him, Gracie, and all the Arends. To quote Spock from the movie "Star Trek The Wrath of Khan" when he was dying, "Jim, (Wally) you have been and always will be my friend!"  Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. Amen.

Father James J. Seitz
